Ventano is some of the best authentic Italian food Henderson has to offer. The lasagna, although a far cry from what most consider "lasagna", is the crowd favorite here. The restaurant is situated in a quiet neighborhood, making it perfect for a relaxing night out. If you're planning on staying a while, request a seat at their patio. It's perfect for relaxing over a few of their signature White Sangrias. The establishment is beautiful too — there's no way you can drive past that beautiful brown stucco building without wanting to see what's going on inside.

I Love Sushi

One trip to I Love Sushi, and you'll be saying the same thing. If you're looking for a healthy portion size, order the "Screaming Orgasm". Although it comes in both large and small options, go for the large, since you get more of the good stuff: that amazing radish sauce. The main ingredient is tuna, but it's topped with noodles, pimentos and a host of herbs and spices. To get your adrenaline flowing, try the "Kiss of Fire", a fried roll drenched with a savory hot sauce and topped with a jalapeño slice just for kicks.

With flour, prosciutto, tomatoes and parmesan cheese straight from Italy, get ready for some serious authentic Italian food at Settebello's. They specialize in Pizza Napoletana, a soft dough pizza quickly cooked over a wood-fire oven. The Quattro Formaggi (four cheese) is so good that even die-hard carnivores will walk away feeling satisfied. But to get an idea of the wonders this restaurant can do with a little dough and tomatoes, first timers should try their signature pizza, the Settebello, with crushed tomatoes, pancetta and sausage. However it isn't all pizza here: they also have a full antipasto menu. (Go for the Misto meat sample with focaccia.)

Lindo Michoacan

Lindo Michoacan
Address:
645 Carnegie St
Henderson, NV 89052
Phone:

First off, the view from Lindo Michoacan is enough to warrant a trip here. Watching the sunset over the Strip couldn't be any better with their frozen margaritas. However, before you choose which margarita, be sure to try their alma tequila flight. While they have very traditional Mexican dishes like Cactus y Pollo and Lengua al Tequila, they sear up a mean steak, and their garlic sauce goes perfect with lobster. The ambience here is awesome too. Mariachi and guitar music plays on the weekends, and the waitstaff is incredibly informed on the menu, which is great since it's almost entirely en Español.

NAGA - Thai Dining

76 W Horizon Ridge Pkwy Ste 150
Henderson, NV 89012
Phone:
(702) 508-2008
Definitely head to NAGA if you're looking for some spice in Henderson. This place knows how to open up the sinuses! As with most Thai restaurants, order your spice level a step or two lower than usual. The Rama Noodles are amazing — the outside has a great crunch, and the inside practically melts in your mouth. The ambiance is a little informal: The lighting is dim, and the waitstaff is very amicable. It's a pretty small restaurant, only seating about 40, so be sure to reserve a seat for the weekends.

Elixir — A local lounge

Address:
2920 Green Valley Pkwy
Henderson, NV 89014
Phone:
(702) 272-0000
The ambiance here is unlike anything in Henderson: dim with black, red and brown hues. Everything from the seating to the pool tables and drapery whisper old-fashioned class. The crowd pleaser here by far is their signature cocktail "The Elixir", a cherry-citrus mixed drink served with Absolut and a candy garnish. For food, order up a plate of their fried mashed potato bites, or if you're a tad bit more adventurous, the stuffed mushrooms are savory, creamy and are sure to make your mouth water as soon as you see the waitress bringing them over.
